Tomer Vandsburger, Esq., is an Associate at Perkins Coie’s Seattle office. His practice focuses on tax, employee benefits, and executive compensation law, and he regularly advises clients with ERISA, Internal Revenue Code, HIPAA, and Affordable Care Act compliance issues. Mr. Vandsburger also regularly advises clients on employee benefits issues in the context of mergers and acquisitions, including post-transaction integration issues. He also has experience advising health tech clients on HIPAA compliance issues throughout the development and implementation of digital health technologies.

He also handles multiemployer pension plan issues for clients with unionized employees, including review of the health and stability of such plans, developing strategies to address plan underfunding issues, and advising clients during the withdrawal process. Mr. Vandsburger has written about and delivered presentations on how employers participating in such plans should prepare for underfunding issues faced by multiemployer plans in critical and declining status.

Mr. Vandsburger received his Master of Laws in Taxation and his Juris Doctor from the University of Washington School of Law, his Master of Science in Teaching from Pace University, and his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Virginia. Mr. Vandsburger is a member of the Washington state bar.
