Jonathan M. Cerrito. Mr. Cerrito is a Partner at Blitman & King LLP's New York City office. His practice focuses on complex aspects of ERISA and tax law with respect to qualified pension plans, health plans and executive compensation arrangements. He advises ERISA fiduciaries on the investment of plan assets and the prohibited transaction rules, and has handled dozens of investigations and audits conducted by the Department of Labor, IRS and the PBGC. He provides advice on the design and structure of compensation arrangements for employment, severance, and partnership agreements, including nonqualified deferred compensation and equity compensation, and the associated tax consequences. He holds a Juris Doctor from Quinnipiac School of Law, a Master of Laws from New York University, and a Bachelor of Arts from Fordham University. He is a member of the New York State and Connecticut bars, and is admitted to practice before the U.S. Tax Court.

Mr. Cerrito has contributed to Bloomberg Law’s checklists on various aspects of investments in defined benefit and defined contribution plans, cash balance and hybrid plans.
