Chris Deabler is Of Counsel for Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP in Northern Kentucky.  Chris focuses his practice on mergers & acquisitions, private equity, asset divestitures, securities offerings, financings, corporate governance and other general corporate matters for publicly traded and privately held companies. His experience also includes sophisticated commercial contract work, ranging from distribution agreements, to master services and master purchasing agreements, to manufacturing agreements for clients in various industries. He received his B.A. (magna cum laude), from the University of Tampa, his M.A., from Texas A&M University, and his J.D. (Dean's List), from Northwestern University School of Law.  He is a member of the Ohio Bar Association, the Kentucky Bar Association, the Massachusetts Bar Association and American Bar Association.

 

Mr. Deabler is co-author of Bloomberg BNA Corporate Practice Portfolio Series No. 55-4th, The Ohio Corporation: Legal Aspects of Organization and Operation.  This portfolio volume discusses the legal considerations in organizing and operating a corporation under Ohio law. It is designed to lead the practitioner step-by-step through the processes of incorporating and organizing an Ohio corporation. It discusses the major areas of corporate practice, including formation, capitalization, governance, reorganization and dissolution of the corporation. It also includes discussion of takeover considerations where appropriate, Ohio securities law provisions from a corporate formation viewpoint, and foreign corporation provisions.
