Adrienne Robertson is a Director at Alvarez & Marsal’s Denver Tech Center office. She has more than 25 years of experience in the retirement plan and financial services industries. Her expertise is in ERISA and employee benefits plans, including fiduciary concerns; operational compliance; plan design; plan documents; merger, acquisition and controlled group issues; and recordkeeping and administrative considerations. Prior to her current position, she was an associate at Sherman & Howard L.L.C. in Denver where she assisted clients with employee benefit and retirement plan issues related to operational qualification, ERISA fiduciary responsibilities, and document compliance. From 2013-2015, she was an associate at Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP’s Philadelphia office where she assisted clients in meeting the fiduciary and tax-qualification requirements applicable to retirement plans, including correction submissions and determination letter filings; prepared plan amendments; restated plan documents; drafted equity plan agreements and information statements; analyzed issues related to Code § 409A, § 162(m) and § 280G; evaluated benefit issues associated with merger and acquisition activity; and supported plan service provider clients, including review of service agreements. Previous to that, she was in-house counsel at the Vanguard Group. She has ASPPA certifications as a Certified Pension Consultant and Qualified Pension Administrator. She holds a Juris Doctor degree from the Widener University School of Law, and a Bachelor of Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
